We have big dreams.

Most people who end up in the service industry in some way have felt the desire to give back for what they have been given or the love they have been shown.  This manifested in Sister EdithRoese early on when she started doing accounting for her father’s business.  That may not seem akin to working in a soup kitchen or helping to build housing for the homeless, but taking the time to learn something and then put it to use to help others is most certainly a charity of sorts.

As an accountant, she always upheld the highest standards and prided herself on the fact that she could handle multi-million dollar contracts and be responsible for the financials of large corporations without anyone ever thinking about or there being a hint of impropriety.  This in itself is a form of service as the employer knows they do not have to worry.  

Carrying this forward through her vows, her life is now finally in a position where she can and has the desire to do more.  Accounting is still fulfilling, but every year our world seems to be in more pain, in more need.  The internet and specifically social media offerings are now finally to the point where they can support charities and truly make a difference, so here we are making Sister EdithRoese’s dream of The Living Treasure’s Collective into reality.

Graceful Camel & The Living Treasure’s Collective, LLC is a community of like-minded people who are working together to help abuse survivors, setting them on a road to healing and hope. An avowed Nun and a group of big-hearted volunteers run the organization and are determined to treasure, care for, and serve all who need our assistance. These volunteers are varied in their belief systems; Christians, Pagans, Agnostics, Buddhists, Islam, Judaism, and more all work together in a common vision to create a better world.

When anyone visits our facility, they are provided with a private, caring, and comforting environment for their safety and recovery. We help care for a person’s mind, body, heart, and soul. We are there for the journey as visitors learn to overcome challenges to move forward, which includes safe temporary housing, counseling, encouragement, and connections to resources. This blanket of care and support allows our visitors to thrive and move forward with their lives.

We are also providing varying ways to donate through The Camel Shop at Graceful Camel, as we are offering items donated to fund The Collective.  The Camel Shop accepts goods on behalf of The Collective, produced by donors that we then sell and donate to a particular charity chosen that month.  This helps people give who do not necessarily have spare bills in their wallets. 

Please purchase something from the Camel Shop, or donate via the shop, or donation forms.  Either way, know that your contribution, (unless specifically targeting The Collective itself, meaning you want to help us pay for our overhead), will go toward supporting the Living Treasures Collective and the Priory of the Ark, and those that turn to us for help.
